Detroit: Become Human is a gripping, interactive story and neo-noir thriller developed by Quantic Dream (creators of Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls). The game is set in the near-future metropolis of Detroit in 2038, where hyper-realistic androids have become an integral part of society. However, as increasing numbers of these androids begin to exhibit human "emotions" and gain self-awareness, tension rises between the human populace and their newly awakened creations.
Three Stories, One Destiny
The game allows you to control three distinct androids, each with their own unique narrative thread that converges into a single, complex story facing moral and social challenges that threaten to ignite a revolution:
- Kara: A household android who escapes her factory to protect a young girl. Her journey is a desperate quest for freedom and a safe place in a world hostile to "deviant" androids.
- Connor: An advanced prototype designed as an investigator specializing in hunting down and neutralizing deviant androids. He faces an internal conflict between his programmed loyalty and the growing evidence of the androids' humanity.
- Markus: A caretaker android who loses everything and becomes the charismatic leader of the android liberation movement. You must make crucial decisions: will you guide the movement towards peaceful civil disobedience or violent revolution?
